For its outstanding customer service, Messe Essen has received the "Best Service Quality 2017/18" mark of distinction jointly awarded by the TESTBILD magazine and the Statista statistics portal and has occupied third place in the Trade Fair Organiser category.
Oliver P. Kuhrt has been confirmed in his function as the CEO of Messe Essen. The Supervisory Board has passed a unanimous resolution in favour of extending the contract by another five years ahead of schedule.
From January 30 to February 1, 2019, the European showmen's industry will meet up at Messe Essen. In the 65th anniversary year of the European Showmen's Union, no fewer than two must-attend events of the sector will then take place in Essen, i.e. the Interschau trade fair and the Congress of Delegates of the German Showmen's Federation (DSB).
After an intensive planning phase, the starting signal for the modernisation was given at Messe Essen today. Together, Essen's Lord Mayor Thomas Kufen and the boss of the fair company Oliver P. Kuhrt opened the new Info Pavilion as a symbol for the start of the construction. Thus, the work on the New Messe Essen has begun officially. In the first construction phase, a glass foyer covering 2,000 m² and thus the new visiting card of Messe Essen will be created in the East entrance area. Inside the site, attention will focus on the clear, single-storey structuring of the halls and on the technical modernisation.
At the same time as the starting signal for the modernisation, Messe Essen is celebrating the opening of its Info Pavilion today. During the first construction phase until the autumn of 2017, the meeting point designed specifically for this purpose will impart things worth knowing about all the aspects of the construction project.
