European taxi fair as another new addition to the trade fair portfolio

The European Taxi Fair is moving from Cologne to Essen next year. With the recent conclusion of the contract, Messe Essen has already succeeded in acquiring the seventh trade fair for 2022 and the following years. A result that stands out especially against the background of the coronavirus pandemic and underlines both the relevance of trade fairs and the quality of the location.
The European Taxi Fair is the largest trade fair for the taxi and rental car industry and will take place in Essen from 4 to 5 November 2022. The Chairman of the North Rhine Passenger Transport Association, Taxi-Mietwagen e.V., Markus Gossmann: "In addition to classic limousines and minibuses as well as special vehicles for transporting disabled or sick passengers, the range of exhibitors at the European Taxi Fair also includes vehicles with new drive concepts. There is also a wide range of offers for information technology and radio technology for control centres and vehicles as well as payment systems." Previously, other highly specialised trade fairs such as Lubricant Expo, CTCO or Altenpflege had already announced their move to Essen.

"First-class service, a state-of-the-art exhibition centre and the central location in the metropolis of the Ruhr region, which is experienced in change, are just some of the reasons why more and more international organisers are choosing Messe Essen," summarises Oliver P. Kuhrt, Managing Director of Messe Essen. "We are very pleased that the Fachvereinigung Personenverkehr Nordrhein, Taxi-Mietwagen e.V. has expressed its confidence in us and will be our guests every two years from 2022."

Dr. Michael Stehr, Managing Director of Fachvereinigung Personenverkehr Nordrhein, Taxi-Mietwagen e.V., adds: "Essen has convinced us in every respect as a location for the European Taxi Fair. Our exhibitors will find ideal conditions for a successful trade fair appearance with the modern infrastructure and the suitable size of the grounds."
